Preserved flower

Preserved flowers are real plants and flowers that are chemically treated, to maintain their original characteristics, colour, and texture. The flowers are harvested at the peak of the bloom when they are most beautiful and luscious.

With these simple tips you can maintain your preserved flowers in good condition for a long time:

  1. Avoid water, not even misted. Sprinkling water or perfume can cause damage. This will encourage mold to grow & discoloration to set in on the stems and petals of the flowers.

  2. Avoid area with high moisture. Keep the arrangement in a room temperature, humidity free environment.

  3. Avoid direct sunlight to preserve the color of the flowers.

  4. If dust collects, gently clean with a soft duster or using a hairdryer with cool setting.

  5. Flowers have been preserved using natural dyes. To prevent transfer of color, do not place in contact with fabrics or furnishings.

  6. Preserved flowers are delicate and can be damaged easily. You shouldn’t press, bend or squash the petals or stems.

  7. Preserved flowers are not cultivated for edible purposes, If your child has ingested a significant amount please seek medical attention.

Dried flower

Dried flowers are really very easy to take care. Being a natural product they won’t just perfectly suspend in time indefinitely but they will last for years if you look after them well.

There’s only a few tips that will help you keep them looking beautiful for years to come! And their changing appearance just adds to their charm, I think!

  1. Unlike their fresh friends, dried blooms do not like water. None. It makes their stems weak and mouldy. Keep them warm and dry at all times.

  2. Dried flowers will naturally fade over time, particularly if they are kept in direct sunlight. This is part of their charm, to be enjoyed as much as any other time. But to slow the fade, keep them away from direct sunlight.

  3. They are fragile, and become more fragile as time goes on. You may see some fall out from grasses, some petals or some little blooms.

  4. They’re best suited to a spot with little movement. They would be better suited to a side table perhaps, a more ‘permanent’ spot.

  5. They’re best kept out of reach of children and pets to keep them looking their best for the longest time.

  6. Ensure good airflow around your blooms and prevent temperature fluctuations.
